The Susitna Fire (#235) is 100% contained. The Denali Mod spent Tuesday gridding the fire looking for hotspots to extinguish. They reported the fire had received some light precipitation over night. Tuesday afternoon five members of the module was reassigned to another fire. The remaining five members along with a medic continued to grid the fire reporting they had discovered four areas of heat. This fire will be completely out to prevent any chance of it rekindling in close proximity to a community. Firefighters will also prepare equipment, supplies and trash for backhaul during their planned demobilization Wednesday. This fire will be placed into monitor status. There will be no more updates for this fire unless there is a significant change.
