Wildfire on Kenai Peninsula grows but poses no immediate threat

Tyonek Fire

Smokejumpers, forestry firefighters and retardent tankers are on their way to the villiage of Tyonek on the west side of the Cook Inlet where a wind driven fire near the airport is burning.
