The Teklanika River and all residents along the Teklanika River have been released from evacuation status. Fire activity has diminished and there is no longer an active threat to residents in the area.
All other residents, including those in the City of Anderson, North Forties, Kobe Ag, Rose Hip Creek and Clear Sky Homestead, have also been released from evacuation status. Residents should remain alert and informed. If you encounter firefighters working in these areas, please give them space.

Individuals re-entering burned areas should be aware of possible hazards, including fire-damaged trees, ash pits, smoldering stumps or logs, and the potential for flash flooding.
Dead standing trees that were burned or partially burned, known as snags, can fall down with very little disturbance or wind if their root systems have burned. White ash on the ground may indicate deep pockets of hot ash where roots and ground vegetation have burned and may continue to burn below ground level. Children and pets should be carefully supervised to avoid potential hazards like ash pits, falling trees, and hazardous smoke.
The topography of the area may change significantly, with slopes and trails becoming unstable due to falling rocks and debris from fire-damaged soils.
