Smoke been reported in Delta and Tanana Flats areas. The smoke is likely coming from the prescribed burn on the Oklahoma Range in the Donnelly Training Area. Ignition of the prescribed burn was Saturday, May 10. The size of the burn area is approximately 30 thousand acres and is burning in grass. There is no fire danger to the public.
Ignitions of the prescribed burn on the Oklahoma Range ceased because the burn objective was completed. Smoke remains visible in surrounding communities. Please take necessary precautions with smoke: drive carefully and stay indoors if you have respiratory concerns.
