Funny River Fire update

1 p.m. June 3, 2014

The fire is still 59% contained at 193,597 acres There are 555 personnel assigned to the fire.

Fire behavior yesterday was limited to isolated smoldering pockets in very sheltered fuels with crews working in a grid fashion to identify and extinguish heat sources. The western flank is in monitor status and unstaffed. Structure protection continued for remote cabins in the eastern area of the refuge.

Demobilization of crews for their next fire assignment is underway The map remains the same as the June 2, 2014 map given the lack of perimeter growth and no change in containment.
