Blair Fire update, July 2

Cooler temperatures and wetting rains have assisted with the firefighting efforts in the area. The Type 3 Incident Management Team that had been managing the fires transitioned the fires to a Type 4 organization on 7/1. Minimal fire behavior has been reported. Smoky conditions may affect surrounding areas and communities as the fire continues to smolder. The fire is expected to continue to creep to the east, but under current conditions no large increase in acres is expected. Unaweep Wildland Fire Module will remain on the fire and complete prep work on cabins along the river. Please use caution and slow down when traveling on Clear Creek from the Salcha boat launch to the 5 mile Clear Creek community. Fire personnel are working in the area and utilizing the river to transport personnel and supplies.
