Blair and La Grande Fires update

The return of warm and dry conditions in the area will test the fires’ perimeters over the next couple of days. In addition, red flag warnings for high winds are forecasted for July 6

Blair Fire:
Fire personnel are monitoring the fire daily by air. Minimal smokes have been observed on the fire since last week’s rains. The Unaweep Wildland Fire Module is still assigned to the fire and in place near the structures at the 5 Mile Clear Creek community.

Please use caution and slow down when boating in the Clear Creek area from the Salcha boat launch to the 5-mile Clear Creek community. Fire personnel are working in the area and utilizing the river to transport personnel and supplies.

La Grande Fire:
The fire has been monitored daily by fire personnel from the air. Structure protection is still in place on the cabins in the vicinity. If fire behavior increases the fire will be staffed again and structure protection can be promptly implemented.
