Swan Lake Fire: Sterling Community Meeting Live Stream Video

The Swan Lake Fire Community Meeting was held at the Sterling Community center on June 22nd 2019 in Sterling, Alaska.

The Sterling Community Meeting was streamed on the Alaska DNR- Division of Forestry (DOF) Facebook page for those who could not attend the meeting in person.

Alaska Incident Management Team Incident Commander Tom Kurth opened the briefing, followed by a current fire update by Operations Section Chief Chris Wennogle. Incident Meteorologist Julia Ruthford provided a weather briefing and Fire Weather was provided by our Fire Behavior Analyst,Chris Moore. Mayor Charlie Pierce addressed the audience as well as Emergency Manager Dan Nelson spoke. The meeting ended with closing comments and a Q&A from the audience.
