Due to the reduction of risk posed by the Swan Lake Fire, several recreational facilities in the Skilak Wildlife Recreation Area will re-open to public use at 12 p.m., on July 1, 2019.

The following facilities are now OPEN to public use:

Campgrounds: Lower Ohmer Campground, Upper Skilak Lake Campground, Lower Skilak Campground

Cabin: Upper Ohmer Lake Cabin

Lake:Upper Ohmer Lake and Lower Ohmer Lake

Open facilities are shown in green on the fact sheet below.

Fire danger remains very high, visitors need to be extremely cautious with anything that may produce a spark or flame.

Visitors are asked to travel with caution as emergency vehicles and personnel may be traveling in the area.
