Pogo Mine Road Fire (#191)
Firefighters are engaged in structure protection around private land. The Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) Fire Crew and Alaska State DOF firefighters helped protect structures through the evening 8/06/23 as the fire made a push to the north. The fire has crossed Pogo Mine Road to the north in a few places and is burning towards a remote area. Along the southern perimeter, the fire remains north and west of Shaw Creek.
Mount Hayes Fire (#299)
This fire is burning on military and state lands in the Gerstle River Arctic Test Site area. The fire jumped the Gerstle River to east. Aircraft is dropping water on the spot east of the river to try to keep this fire in check. Dozers are building control lines to north of the main the fire. Management objectives are to keep the fire South of Gerstle Field System and Bison Trail, east of Sawmill Creek, and west of the Gerstle River.

Indian Creek Fire (#251)
This fire is located near Pogo Mine and is currently in monitor status due to limited activity. If the need arises, aircraft will be sent to drop water and keep the fire in check.
Delta Fire (#221)
This fire located south of the Richardson Highway west of Delta Creek burning on military and state lands. The primary objective is to keep the fire within Delta Creek, the Little Delta and the Tanana River. Fire managers are protecting structures in the area and reviewing management options to keep the fire south of the Tanana River.
Ponds Fire (#302)
This 839-acre wildfire is currently south of the Richardson Highway in military land and is currently being monitored.
