Kechumstuk Creek Fire sees growth overnight 

The Kechumstuk Creek Fire (#192) is located approximately 15 miles west of Chicken and was initially reported on June 18 by a passing aircraft. The lightning-caused fire has grown to an estimated 4,201 acres, burning in black spruce and tundra with an active perimeter.

The 10-person Tanana Chiefs Bravo Squad has completed 90% of structure protection for the Kechumstuk Village Native allotments located just south of the fire. 

Additional firefighting resources have been ordered.
