Bonanza Creek Fire (#238) and the Goldstream Creek Fire (#270) are being managed as the Nenana Ridge Complex. Both fires experienced light precipitation on Monday. Smoky conditions have limited aerial access to the fire but are expected to lift today so that aircraft can resume operations in the area.
The Bonanza Creek Fire is currently estimated at 2,165 acres, and the Goldstream Creek Fire was estimated at 4,265 acres at last report. The fires have impacted the Parks Highway and railway lines in the area. Additional water tenders have been requested to provide support for structure protection. Heavy equipment is being utilized to construct line and tie into existing features for containment. Ground resources are working to protect structures and other values at risk in the area.
A Georgia Type 3 incident management team will be arriving in the Fairbanks area today and will be inbriefed to assume command of the Nenana Ridge Complex.

🟢 Level 1 “READY”:
- Old Nenana Highway
- Old Ridge
- Standard Creek Road
- Cache Creek Road
- Standard Cache
