🔸 Crews are constructing mastication line along an airstrip near mile marker 128 of the Glenn Highway and keep fire south of Eureka Creek and west of Nelchina River.
🔥 Oskawalik Fire (#122)
📍 Location: 9 miles south of Crooked Creek along the Kuskokwim River – Cause: Lightning – Acres: 1,779 – Containment: 75%
🔸 Crews will be utilizing helicopters to sling equipment and hose to Crooked Creek airstrip
🔥 Tonclonukna Creek Fire (#267)
📍 Location: 9 miles south of Crooked Creek along the Kuskokwim River – Cause: Lightning – Acres: 210 – Containment: 35%
🔸 Crews work to contain left flank of fire towards the heel of the fire today
🔥 Little Salatna Fire (#170)
📍 Location: 9 miles south of Crooked Creek along the Kuskokwim River – Cause: Lightning – Acres: 110 – Containment: 100%
🔸 Crews will establish additional helispots along perimeter for demob of crews and gear
