Following aerial reconnaissance, operations personnel inserted division supervisors into the Lake George and Sand Lake areas to continue structure protection efforts. Crews are actively setting up sprinkler kits and hose lays to provide point protection for structures and allotments. A repeater was installed to provide communication coverage throughout the fire area.

The Idaho Teakean Type 2 Initial Attack crew arrived in Delta Junction yesterday and is scheduled to be transported by boat today to assist with structure protection and fireline operations.

Additional resources and supplies are arriving throughout the day. Due to limited road access, helicopters and boats are being used for transportation.

A mapping mission is planned today to refine the fire perimeters. Accurate mapping will support the development of operational tactics and incident planning.

Cooler temperatures and intermittent precipitation are forecasted over the fire area through the weekend, providing favorable conditions for firefighting efforts.
