The Roundabout Complex is now 14,206 acres. Firefighters are making steady progress, continuing point protection around critical values at risk. With a warming and drying trend expected this week, crews are preparing for the potential of increased fire activity.

Moldy Fire (#279) – Now estimated at 11,654 acres, this fire remains the largest in the complex. The Plumas Hotshots made strong gains yesterday on structure and allotment protection, with successful operations near the areas closest to being impacted. That work continues today with an estimated two shifts remaining for completion, if conditions are favorable.
Caribou Fire (#128) – The Zigzag Hotshots and four smokejumpers are using a combination of direct and indirect tactics to protect the historic Hogatza Mine. Crews are expected to remain engaged in the area for at least three more days.
Richards Fire (#251) – Mop-up operations continue, with crews working to extinguish remaining hot spots and reinforce containment lines.
Billy Hawk (#182) and Billy Hawk 2 (#191) – Both fires remain in monitor status with no values at risk in the vicinity.
