Himalaya Road Fire (#233): 3,408 acres
Aggie Creek Fire (#268): 2,817 acres
Washington Creek Fire (#232): 5.7 acres

All three fires remain at 0% containment. The southwest portion of the Himalaya Road Fire (#223) showed the most activity Saturday with scattered smoldering plus isolated areas of surface spread and torching of black spruce. No smoking or heat was observed on the Washington Creek Fire (#232). Aggie Creek Fire (#268) was most active on the northwest perimeter. Minimal showers moved towards the fire areas, but no measurable precipitation fell within their perimeters.

Masticators completed work to reduce vegetation along Elliott Highway yesterday, which will protect properties south of the Himalaya Road Fire (#223). Today, firefighters will construct fire line and install hoses along the perimeter in the Glacier Creek drainage. Helicopter bucket drops will assist to reinforce the line in areas with aggressive smoldering. Firefighters continue to monitor the Middle Fork drainage. Mop up and patrol continues near Haystack Mountain residences, and dozers will continue to construct line in the Caribou drainage area. On the Aggie Creek Fire (#268) today, firefighters will focus on structure protection while masticators will reduce fuels along access routes and contingency lines. Uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) will survey for fire growth to the south near Washington Creek. The Washington Creek Fire (#232) has showed no visible smoke but will continue to be surveyed by aircraft. Firefighters will respond to any new rekindling as needed.

Expect another day of warm temperatures in the mid to low-to-mid 70s. A better chance of thunderstorms will start Sunday and continue through early next week.

Drivers are urged to be alert, go slow and watch out for heavy equipment along Elliott Highway and other roads. Stay out of the active fire area. A Temporary Flight Restriction is in place.
