Helicopter and boat operations continue on the Twelvemile and Sand Lake Fires

The Twelvemile Lake Fire (#220) sits at 23,423 acres.

The Sand Lake Fire (#292) totals 6,294 acres.

Negligible fire activity yesterday as wetter, cooler conditions settled in, but little to no precipitation fell over the Twelvemile (#220) and Sand Lake Fire (#292) area. Sand Lake, Lake George, and Healy Lake are all staffed. Helicopter and boat operations continue to support logistical needs of personnel on the line. Crews are focusing on values at risk and checking point protection equipment during the favorable weather conditions. The team continues to coordinate with the local unit for IA response.
