Operations: On the Aggie Creek Fire, personnel scout old dozer line from the 2022 Minto Fire to potentially re-open it for structure protection along the Chatanika River corridor. Crews continue to improve the other fire lines and look for hot spots. A supply load was moved off the Himalaya Road Fire yesterday to the staging area on the Chatanika River. Additional supplies will be moved today. Mop up, cold trailing and hose collection will continue on the northwest portion of the fire perimeter. Crews are going direct and creating line along the east side of the fire perimeter to Caribou Creek. On the Obrien Fire crews increased defensible space around the Wickersham and Eleazar’s cabins. Portable water tanks were filled by a Type 1 helicopter yesterday. With newly delivered supplies, firefighters will lay hose for additional structure protection today.

Weather: A gradual warming and drying trend is expected to carry through the weekend and into early next week.
