Evacuation Notices near the 7 Mile Lookout Fire:
- READY (Level 1): Residents on Moose Nugget Road, and Goshawk Road.

Operations:
As suppression efforts begin to wind down on the 7 Mile Lookout Fire, crews remain focused on securing the fire perimeter and preparing for the eventual removal of equipment.Firefighters from Tanana Chiefs Type 2 Initial Attack, Gannett Glacier Type 2 Initial Attack, Pioneer Peak Hotshots, and North Star Crew continue working along 7 Mile Lookout Road. Their focus continues to be on piling and burning hazard trees and woody debris to widen containment lines and reduce the risk of future fire spread, particularly in areas with lingering heat in deep duff layers.Crews also conducted multiple test burns between two previously burned sections on the southern perimeter to remove remaining black spruce and unburned fuels. However, due to high humidity and recent scattered rain showers, fuels under the canopy remained too wet to carry fire effectively. These burns produced limited results. On Tuesday, firefighters will shift to the southeast corner of the fire to continue piling trees, stacking logs, eliminating remaining hot spots, and reinforcing firelines. An infrared drone flight is also planned to scan the southern and western edges for any hidden heat along the perimeter.

Weather:
Isolated showers remain possible Tuesday, but the best chance for wetting rain occurred Monday night into early Tuesday. Temperatures will rise into the low 70s Tuesday and upper 70s Wednesday, with drier conditions expected as high pressure briefly builds in.
Public Safety Reminder:
Recreationists and nearby residents are reminded to stay out of the fire area. Fire-weakened trees continue to fall without warning, and ash pits cause serious burns if stepped into.

Road Advisory:
Drivers should check current road conditions at 511.alaska.gov and use caution when traveling near the fire.
Aircraft and Drone Restrictions:
A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) – FDC 5/4836 – remains in effect over the fire area. Drones and other unauthorized aircraft are prohibited.
