Fire activity remained limited across Southcentral and Southwest Alaska during the last operational period, with no significant changes reported on either the Beluga Fire (#213) west of Susitna or the fires associated with the Southwest Alaska Solstice Weekend Lightning Event.
The Beluga Fire (#213) continues to show minimal activity. Containment remains unchanged, and only minor adjustments have been made to the fire’s mapped acreage. Crews continue monitoring and mop-up operations, locating and extinguishing remaining pockets of heat within the fire area.
In Southwest Alaska, there is little change among the lightning-caused fires identified following the Solstice Weekend Lightning Event. Most incidents remain small, are exhibiting limited fire behavior, and continue to be monitored. No significant growth, new threats to communities, or major changes in suppression objectives have been reported.
With fire activity remaining low across both areas, firefighters continue monitoring conditions and assessing incidents as needed. Additional updates will be provided if conditions change.
