Active Wildland Fire
Crews made good progress building a fire line on the flank closest to the village. It has grown to 350 acres. Weather permitting, air operations will continue Tuesday morning.

Report of a fire 3 miles south of Soldotna airport along the Funny River Horse Trail. Helicopters are working with buckets. Kenai area forestry engines and the Chena Interagency Hotshot crew is on the scene.
Smokejumpers, forestry firefighters and retardent tankers are on their way to the villiage of Tyonek on the west side of the Cook Inlet where a wind driven fire near the airport is burning.
