Steele Creek Fire 90 percent contained

(Fairbanks, AK) – The Tanana Chiefs, Delta #2, and Fairbanks #2 firefighting crews have contained 90 percent of the Steele Creek Fire. This wildland fire has burned 48 acres, though no structures were damaged or lost. Approximately 75 firefighters are working to secure the remaining fire perimeter. Steady rain over the fire today will assist the firefighters as they continue their work to fully contain and put out the fire.
