Last of BLM’s fire restrictions are lifted

Recent weather conditions have led the Bureau of Land Management’s Central Yukon Field Office to lift the temporary restrictions on open fires and fireworks on the public lands it manages in central and northern Alaska, including the Dalton Highway area, effective at midnight tonight. The restrictions were put in place on June 16 due to high fire danger in the area.  Anyone with questions can contact the public affairs office at the BLM Fairbanks District Office at 474-2231 or email Craig McCaa at cmccaa@blm.gov.
