Two Local Fire Support Staff Involved in Multi-Vehicle Collision

COPPER CENTER, AK – At approximately 11:50 am on July 21, two public information officers, one from U.S. Forest Service, Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and one from National Park Service, Wrangell-St.Elias National Park and Preserve were involved in a multi-vehicle collision near Mile Post 102.5 on the Richardson Highway. Both public information officers were supporting multiple fires in the local area.

The public information officers were transported to Anchorage for non-critical injuries. Both were treated and released from medical care and will return to their respective home units.
