The veteran operated, all-volunteer Team Rubicon is on scene at the McKinley Fire to assist residents with clean up from the wildfire. This hardy crew can provide assistance with debris removal and clean up around fire damaged homes. The volunteers who have deployed here to Alaska have all left behind regular jobs, using their vacation time to help out victims of the McKinley fire. Most Team Rubicon volunteers are military veterans, but some are first responders or other professionals.
They are conducting chainsaw operations and debris relocation that is in close proximity to damaged homes in Division Delta on the McKinley Fire today, as well as performing ongoing site assessments to determine their scope of work as homeowners contact them.
Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. To sign up for a homesite assessment, contact them at 360-975-7944. For more information about team rubicon, check out their website at https://teamrubiconusa.org/mission/.
