A helicopter working on the Clear Fire (#346) was involved in an accident while supporting the incident at approximately 7:30 PM on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Firefighters responded along with Alaska State Troopers. The Division of Forestry & Fire Protection confirmed there was a single pilot with no passengers on board at the time of the accident. Alaska State Troopers and NTSB are conducting the investigation.
