Tanana 440 Boat Race occurred on July 23 – 24, 2022 on the Tanana River. Boat racers must maneuver 800 of the toughest river miles in the world from Fairbanks to Tanana, AK. Race organizers and Bean Complex incident management team worked together to make the 2022 race possible while still working on the seven fires on the Bean Complex. River boats supporting the Bean Complex worked around the race schedule and additional aviation support was used to support firefighters. #Alaskafireseason #FireYear2022
