Granite Fire (#222)
Located approximately 17 miles southeast of Delta Junction, the Granite Fire (#222) is now 100% contained thanks to the work of the TCC Crew, Southwest 1 Crew, Clackamas Crew and the many personnel who supported the incident.
A thermal detection drone was flown over the fire today to locate any remaining heat. Firefighters will continue working through the weekend to extinguish isolated hot spots and remove equipment that is no longer needed, including hose lines and water tenders. A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) remains in effect over the fire area.
