5:15 p.m. – As a result of increased fire activity across the state, the Alaska Interagency Coordination Center has activated a Joint Information Center in Fairbanks for the purpose of sharing fire information with the public. The Joint Information Center is an interagency cooperative effort by state and federal fire management agencies.
