Areas of the fires were showing increased fire activity on Tuesday, despite the rain we have observed over the past several days. There is a potential for areas previously burned to reignite, especially when burned spruce trees with weakened roots systems would fall to the ground with active fire.

With drier and windy weather conditions on Tuesday, increased fire activity was observed, including some single-tree torching. The forecasted weather for Wednesday is mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. Fire weather is expected to be minimal today, however if the clouds do not shadow the sunshine, single-tree torching is likely to occur.

Bruno Creek Fire: All structure assessments and protection measures have been completed to structures located along the Poorman Road. Crews have almost completed constructing handline on the north flank of the fire to protect native allotments.

Big Creek Two Fire: Two squads continue to work in the Nowitna River drainage to set up sprinkler systems and complete structure protection on remote cabins on the east side of the fire. A few more operation shifts will be required to complete this work.

Trail Creek Fire: Continues to be in a patrol and monitor status.

There is a Notice to Airmen in effect for a 25-mile radius around the village of Ruby.
