Hotshot crews and the contracted excavator continued work throughout the day on Sunday, May 21 and reached 60% containment on the Barley Way Fire. The Incident Commander scouted the perimeter of the fire to determine the updated size at 310 acres.
The fire received light precipitation Sunday evening and the hotshot crews will remain on the fire to complete containment and mop-up operations for an estimated 5-7 days.
