Due to the fire’s proximity to nearby power lines, DFFP coordinated with the Homer Electric Association to temporarily de-energize the affected power lines to reduce hazards for firefighters working in the area.
A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) has been established over the fire area. Flying a drone near an active wildfire is both dangerous and illegal. Remember, if you fly, we can’t.

7:00 PM – The Grandview Fire (#204) is now estimated at 30 acres. An air tanker has completed a drop and is returning to the tanker base in Palmer to reload before heading back to the fire. Single-engine scoopers continue to make water drops on the fire, and more have been ordered from Fairbanks. Multiple dozers are also on scene constructing containment lines.
