Heavy rainfall reduces threat of spread on the 100 Mile Creek Fire

June 20, 2014 10:00 a.m.

100 Mile Creek Fire received over 3.0” of rain in the past 48 hrs. This has substantially reduced the threat of the fire spreading into areas of concern. Crews continued to mop up to the 500’ standard to strengthen the north line against future fire behavior caused by Chinook wind events. Multiple crews and overhead have demobed and excess equipment was backhauled.

Transfer of command between the AK IMT (Doty) to a Type 3 Organization happened today at 6:00 a.m.
